NEW WORKS

Assemblage, as an act and an outcome, is integral to Gab’s art practice. Whether working with assemblages of bodies, voices, or pieces of cardboard, Gab looks for the moment when the ‘pieces’ fall into a form of ‘agreement’ or alignment. Through time, repetition, exchange, and an evolving understanding, a vibrational ‘pulse’ emerges in her work. No assemblage is ever the same; most are in constant flux. Gab describes this co-creative process as ‘divination,’ where the thing, place or material leads the way. These works were shown at Lithgow’s Gang Gang Gallery in 2024 and will feature in curated exhibitions at Mudgee Arts Precinct and Manly Art Gallery & Museum in 2025.
